Class Based Symbols on HMI

Is it possible to have class based symbols on HMI? This way, the instances in the HMI could change itself automatically soon after the Main Symbol in the library is changed.

I agree that symbols/dynamos
I agree that symbols/dynamos should link to the master class object rather than creating a snapshot "copy" of the reference object. Properties that are required for the specific instance of the object should be defined at the class level and only those properties should be editable in the graphics.
DeltaV does this excellently on the configuration side. Experion can do it in the HMI. Both systems need to be able to do both.
Yes, I have been able to use
Yes, I have been able to use the Tag Group Editor feature on DeltaV very effectively for meeting this functionality.
I recollect using features within RSView 32 to meet this functionality as well.

Using Unit-Relative Graphics will solve this
Good DCS and SCADA systems can support Unit-relative graphics.
These use the same graphic for the different instances of similar Units - they do this by dynamically changing the tag path based on the unit that has been selected.
They can greatly reduce the number of graphics that have to be created saving time on programming and testing - but there is still work to do, as the DCS or SCADA has to be provided with the tags for each instance of the graphic.
