H1 fieldbus diagnostics are too difficult to get at

Wouldn't it make sense to be able to display meaningful H1 network diagnostics for monitoring the health of fieldbus segments directly on an operator's DCS screen? Today, there's too much integration effort needed to extract the network diagnostics and make them meaningful for troubleshooting.

P+F integrated into PAM

The latest P+F equipment is supplied with software that have allowed very very efficient design and analysis.

It also is integrated and integrates with different vendors PAM solutions.

I cant speak for MTL but I assume that they would have similar.

Are you sure this information is not already available? At least in the form of alarms and annunciation in the DCS if there is a fault.

To date, MTL (Cooper) and P+F are the primary players in this space. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Today's plant asset management applications offer options for monitoring networks and control hardware, but I don't know offhand how deep they go into fieldbus network diagnostics, if at all.
