Operator Interface on browsers...

More and more systems are moving to XML based operator interfaces, do we expect full featured Operator Interfaces for control and monitoring both using browsers?
This would effectively mean more powerful controllers / communication interfaces which are XML server!

Any thoughts on usability of such a move?
